2006 Orbea Aletta Time Trial/Triathlon Rig & Helmet...

6-10-10 UPDATED PRICE & NO HELMET INCLUDED...So you want to go faster? So you want to explore the pain cave further? Tired of modifying your road bike for TT's or Tri's? Tired of losing time in stage races because your competitor's have dedicated TT set-ups? YOU need a TT bike!

I've always been an average crit racer & average road racer but the difference maker was always my TT. I attribute part of it to a willingness to suffer but a big part was always the right equipment.

What you see is what you get. This sale does not include pedals, wheels, rear derailleur, or braze-on front derailleur. So you need a few items to complete this project but its the baseline for a wicked fast machine.

It's a 2006 Orbea Aletta. Frame is aluminum with carbon seat & chain stays.

dimensions:
Top Tube (virtual) - 57 cm
Down Tube - 55.5 (center to center)
Head Tube - 145mm
Cranks are FSA SLK Carbon, 175 mm. Chain rings are FSA 53/39, bottom bracket is FSA MegaExo (like butter)...
Brakes are branded Orbea with cork pads for carbon rims...
Fork is a carbon Orbea Zeus w/ carbon steerer...
Aero downtube, sweet...
the controls - bars (aluminum)/extensions (carbon)/brake levers are all Profile Design. Shifters are Dura Ace, rear is indexed & front is friction. There's a Profile Design computer mount tucked in there, also included. Stem is a FSA OS 140 w/ carbon face plate, 120mm/6 degree...
seat post is a an Aero Profile Design Razor carbon, saddle is a Bontrager (unsure of model)...

Carbon seat & chain stays with a cut out in the downtube that the rear wheel tucks into for added aerodynamics...
aero head tube & fork profile to cheat the wind even more, Cane Creek integrated headset...
6-9-10 HELMET HAS BEEN SOLD!!! New price below for everything else... Rudy Project Syton Open TT helmet & bag. Size - Large (58/61cm).
Here's a stock picture I found on the internet of a built up version...
Everything including the helmet are in excellent condition bordering on perfect. I've had this bike & helmet since '06 & have used it sparingly & taken really good care of it. Why am I selling it? I rode it twice last year & my interests have wandered to other aspects of cycling.

So what am I asking? $650 for everything. I would like to sell this locally (Lincoln/Omaha or nearby) to make it an easy transition. Pick-up is available, maybe even delivery (no promises).

It's EBAY bound if I can't move it around here.

Questions? Please ask...tekrause@earthlink(dot)net

It's time to take your game to the next level, or something like that:)

Later,

TK
